Permanently Installed Lithium-Ion Batteries
The Galaxy Buds4 contain permanently installed lithium-ion batteries that are not user-replaceable. The battery capacities are:

Earbuds: 42 mAh each (typical)

Charging case: 500 mAh (typical)

Important Safety Instructions
No self-replacement: Do not open the earbuds or charging case to replace the battery. Replacement should only be carried out by authorized specialist personnel.

Heat avoidance: Do not expose the batteries to extreme heat (above 45 °C). Avoid direct sunlight, placing them on heaters, or leaving them in closed vehicles at high temperatures.

Overheating protection: Samsung earbuds have integrated overheating protection. If they get too hot, they will emit an audible warning. In this case, immediately remove the earbuds from your ears and do not place them in the charging case until they have fully cooled down.

No damage: Damaged batteries (cracks, dents, bulges, liquid leakage) must no longer be used – risk of fire and explosion.

Operating temperature: Optimal operation at 0 °C to 35 °C. Storage between −20 °C and 45 °C.

🔌 Charging Instructions
Charger not included: The USB-C charging cable and a power adapter are not included in the scope of delivery. Use only undamaged USB-C cables and a suitable power adapter (max. 5 V / 2 A). Power Delivery (PD) is supported.

Wireless charging: The charging case is Qi-certified and supports wireless charging on all Qi-compatible chargers.

Charging in a dry environment: Charge the earbuds and charging case only in a dry environment. Avoid charging near flammable materials.

No moisture: Do not charge the devices if they are wet. Dry them completely before charging.
Water Protection (IP54)
The Galaxy Buds4 (SM-R540) are IP54 certified. This means:

Protection Meaning
Dust protection (5) Protected against a harmful amount of dust. Some dust may enter, but the function of the earbuds will not be impaired.
Water protection (4) Protected against splashing water from all directions. Immersion in water is not permitted.
Important Restrictions and Care
Not suitable for swimming or showering: The IP54 certification does not protect against immersion or strong jets of water.

No saltwater or chemicals: The protection only applies to fresh water. Saltwater, chlorinated water, soapy water, perfume, or other liquids can attack the seals.

After water contact: If the earbuds have come into contact with fresh water, dry them thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth. Allow the charging port to dry completely before connecting the charging case.

No warranty for water damage: Liquid damage is generally excluded from the manufacturer's warranty.

👂 Usage and Health Safety
Hearing Protection
Volume: High volume over a long period can damage hearing. Start with low volume and increase it gradually. Avoid excessively loud levels, especially with prolonged use.

ANC not as hearing protection: Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is not certified hearing protection. If necessary, use special hearing protection in very loud environments.

Wearing Comfort and Hygiene
Cleaning: Clean the earpieces and the charging case regularly with a dry, lint-free cloth. Do not use liquids, sprays, or abrasive cleaning agents.

Skin irritations: If you experience skin irritations or discomfort, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Fit: Use the included ear tips in different sizes to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.

Everyday Safety
No distraction in traffic: Do not use the headphones in situations where your full attention is required (e.g., driving, cycling, operating machinery, level crossings).

Ambient noise: Ambient mode can help you perceive your surroundings – but it does not replace your natural attention.

The Galaxy Buds4 contain magnets and components that emit magnetic/electromagnetic fields. These could interfere with the operation of nearby electronic devices and medical devices, including pacemakers, hearing aids, and defibrillators.
